Morin Named ECAC Rookie of the Week After Four Goal Weekend

DANBURY, Conn.—ECAC Hockey announced its weekly awards on Monday. For the third straight week, the Big Green have earned a weekly award. Dartmouth first-year Nathan Morin has been named Rookie of the Week.

Morin started the weekend by scoring his first career goal on Friday night against St. Lawrence to give Dartmouth a 2-0 lead. The Saint-Augustin-de-Desmaures, QC native scored his second goal of the game in the third period to make it 5-0. Less than four minutes later, he completed the hat-trick while shorthanded. He finished the game with three goals on three shots along with three faceoff wins and one blocked shot.

On Saturday against Clarkson, Morin scored his game winning goal of the weekend as he broke a 1-1 tie at the 8:05 mark of the third period.

Through the two wins, he had four goals on four shots while being +3. He joins Eric Charpentier, Hayden Stavroff, and CJ Foley as members of the Big Green to earn ECAC Hockey weekly awards this season.

Dartmouth is off to a 6-0-0 start in the 2025-26 season along with a 4-0-0 start in ECAC Hockey play. It is the first time the Big Green have started a season 6-0-0 since the 1957-58 season. The Big Green are back on the ice for a pair of non-conference games on Friday, Nov. 28 against Vermont and Saturday, Nov. 29 against Merrimack.
