HANOVER, N.H.-- The United States Collegiate Selects (USCS) hockey team has announced that Dartmouth Assistant Director of Strength & Conditioning, Chase Engdahl has been named the team's Strength & Conditioning Coach for the upcoming 2025 Spengler Cup.
Engdahl oversees both the men's and women's hockey strength programs for the Big Green. He came to Dartmouth ahead of the 2025-26 season after stops at Minnesota Duluth, the Colorado Avalanche, and the University of Vermont.
"I am grateful to the Dartmouth Administration, hockey staffs, and the Dartmouth strength team for the support to pursue this opportunity and I look forward to being back with the Big Green after the tournament!" Engdahl added.
The United States Collegiate Selects will face Team Canada to open play Spengler Cup play on December 26. Each team will play a minimum of three contests and maximum of five during the six-day event.
The tournament is being broadcast to over 20 countries, either through a partner or via livestream. Official word on how the games can be seen in the United States will be announced at a later date.
The U.S. Collegiate Select team is made up of 25 student-athletes from across NCAA men's ice hockey. The competition runs from December 26-31, with the six participating teams. Along with the Selects, host HC Davos, Team Canada, HC Fribourg-Gotteron, Sparta Praha and IFK Helsinki will be taking part in the 2025 edition.
