DANSBURY, Conn.—ECAC Hockey announced its weekly awards on Monday morning. For the second time this season, Dartmouth forward Hayden Stavroff has been named ECAC Forward of the Week presented by Bluebird Hotels.
Stavroff was the main catalyst for the No. 10 Big Green as they improved to 10-0-0 on the season with wins over Brown and Yale. The sophomore totaled six goals in the two games along with three assists. Two of his goals came on the power play while also having one game winning goal. He finished the weekend with a +6 rating.
On Friday against Brown, he became the first Big Green player to score four goals in a game since Hugh Jessiman scored four goals on Nov. 21, 2003. He also added an assist for five points, he is the first Dartmouth player to tally five points in a game since the 2017-18 season. Against Yale on Saturday, the Columbus, Ohio native scored twice while also adding two assists.
Through 10 games this season, he has 13 goals and seven assists with a +11 rating and a pair of hat-tricks. Stavroff leads the country in goals per game (1.30) and points per game (2.00) while also being tied for the lead in hat-tricks.
No. 10 Dartmouth has a pair of games remaining before holiday break. The Big Green host Army on Friday, Dec. 12 at 7 PM before traveling to UNH on Sunday, Dec. 14 at 4 PM.
