COLCHESTER, Vt. – The Big Green shined on the final day of the St. Michael's Carnival Saturday, earning three first place finishes and four podiums en route to their third straight overall Carnival victory.
In the men's 3x5 relay, Dartmouth's first team of
Asa Chalmers,
John Steel Hagenbuch, and
Luke Allan, won the race by 46 seconds, finishing in 40:03.4.
Dartmouth's second team, consisting of
Aidan Jacobus,
Cooper Camp, and
Aaron Power finished seventh overall (41:35.2).
In the Women's relay, the first team featuring
Evie Walton,
Amelia Tucker and
Ava Thurston led the way to finish first overall, posting a 45.42.7. Dartmouth's second team of
Tatum Witter,
Anja Grover, and
Emma Reeder finished fifth overall (47:17.3).
At Smuggler's Notch, the Big Green earned two podium finishes on the men's slalom.
Louis Latulippe earned his first win of the season, finishing in 1:54.48. He also led the field after the first run.
Calum Langmuir also found himself on the podium, placing second with a 1:55.47.
Heming Sola placed sixth (1:56.34) and
Dan Gillis placed eighth (1:56.39) to round out the top ten.
Benny Brown (1:57.82) and
Philip Lundquist (1:59.02) also finished the race for the Big Green.
The women were led by
Zoe Zimmermann who posted a 1:54.31 to finish just off the podium in fourth place.
Emma Resnick finished her two runs in 1:55.33 to finish seventh.
Izzy Washburn (1:57.28),
Carly Elsinger (1:58.07) also finished the race for the Big Green, placing 12
th and 16
th respectively.
Dartmouth returns to action next weekend when they host the Dartmouth Carnival on February 7 and 8. Alpine races will start at 9 a.m. each day while Nordic racing will begin at 10 a.m.
