HANOVER, N.H. –
Romeo Myrthil recorded his first career double double as the Dartmouth men's basketball team defeated Brown 78-58 and clinched a berth in Ivy Madness for the first time in program history.
Myrthil had 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Big Green.
Ryan Cornish added 18 points and
Brandon Mitchell-Day had 15 with eight rebounds.
The Big Green's record improves to 14-12 (8-5 Ivy League) and Brown's falls to 14-12 (6-7 Ivy League).

FIRST HALF:
- The Bears began the contest with nine unanswered to take the game to the first media timeout.
- Out of the media, Dartmouth went on a 12-4 run to take a 13-12 lead, their first of the game, highlighted by a dunk from Jayden Williams.
- Eleven more points for the Big Green compared to Brown's four put Dartmouth ahead 23-19 with 5:58 remaining to force a Bears timeout. The run consisted of seven points from Mitchell-Day.
- Brown responded with a run of their own and took a 31-30 lead going into halftime.
SECOND HALF:
- The Bears scored first in the half but then the Big Green took over and scored eight of their own to get ahead of Brown 38-33.
- With 13:55 to go, three pointers from Cornish and Romeo Myrthil extended the Big Green lead to 46-35 and forced a Brown timeout, electrifying the Leede Arena crowd.
- Williams kept the three-point baskets coming and put the Big Green ahead 51-39 going into the second media timeout of the half.
- Two successful free throws from Myrthil put the Big Green up by 20, 59-39 with just under 10 minutes remaining.
- The game ended with Dartmouth outscoring Brown 6-2 and the Big Green took the 78-58 victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Big Green had 46 rebounds while Brown had 42.
- The game saw seven lead changes and four ties.
- Dartmouth held the Bears to a 9.5 three-point shooting percentage throughout the game.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- The win completes the season sweep over Brown. The Big Green took down the Bears in a tight 84-83 victory in Providence on January 25 of this year.
- Also with the win, Dartmouth now leads the all-time series against Brown 85-84, dating back to February 1, 1902, where the Big Green won in Hanover 70-14.
