Foley Unanimously Named To All-ECAC First Team

DANBURY, Conn.—The ECAC announced the All-ECAC First Team on Thursday. Dartmouth's CJ Foley was named to the First Team by the league's coaches.

Foley was the lone unanimous defensemen on the team and the lone member of the Big Green to earn All-ECAC honors.

The Hanover, Mass. native has skated in 29 games in the regular season for the Big Green while tallying 29 points with 11 goals and 18 assists. In 2023-24 he was named ECAC Rookie of the Year while being on the All-ECAC Third Team. On Wednesday, he was named unanimous All-Ivy First Team while being named Ivy League Player of the Year. The sophomore leads all ECAC defensemen in points with 29 points in 30 games. His +16 rating is tied for third best in the ECAC and it tied for the best among defensemen. He averages .97 points per game which is the fourth best among all defensemen in Division I. In his two-year career he has skated in 62 games while scoring 16 goals and tallying 33 assists.

Foley and the Big Green travel to Union for a best of three series starting Friday, Mar.13 at 7 PM. Game two is slated for 4 PM on Saturday with the third game is at 4 PM on Sunday if necessary. The winner of the series advances to the ECAC semifinals in Lake Placid, N.Y. on Friday, Mar. 21.
