PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Big Green faced off against the Bears for the final game of the regular season series Saturday, with Dartmouth looking to win the series.
While the Big Green were able to tie the game, the Bears earned the walk off win to defeat the Big Green.
Brown got on the board first in the second inning, opening a two-run lead on a walk and two hits.
The Big Green were able to tie the game in the top of the fourth inning.
A.J. DeMastrie earned a free pass when he was hit by a pitch to lead off the inning, stealing second to put a runner in scoring position with no outs.
Elliot Krewson then singled before
Ethan Brown drove in one run on an RBI single.
Chris Miller advanced Krewson on a sacrifice bunt for
Jackson Hower who drove in the tying run on a ground out.
The pitching took over as the game remained knotted at two for the next four and a half innings.
In the ninth, the Bears were able to draw a two out walk before driving in the winning run to earn the 3-2 victory over the Big Green.
Nate Isler got the start on the mound for Dartmouth, allowing two runs on five hits in 6.2 innings. Isler also walked three and fanned two.
Joseph Chambers took the loss, giving up one run on one hit with three strikeouts in two innings.
Danny Will was the final Big Green relief pitcher. He surrendered one hit in the ninth.
