HANOVER, N.H. – The Big Green and Big Red played the middle game of their three-game series Saturday, putting forth the second straight low scoring, pitching dominated game.
Each team had only two hits through four innings and while Cornell opened the scoring, Dartmouth was able to come back and defeat the Big Red. 3-2.
With the win, Dartmouth earns its third straight and moves to 10-21 overall and 7-10 in Ivy League play.
Eddie Albert got the start on the mound for the Big Green and despite giving up a lead off single, kept the Big Red off the base paths until the fourth inning. With two outs in the inning, Albert allowed only his second hit of the game, a home run to left field to give Cornell a 1-0 lead.
The Big Green had two runners on with two outs in their half of the fourth but were unable to capitalize. Cornell then drew two walks in the top of the fifth, but Albert got out of the inning.
Dartmouth led off its half of the fifth with a single.
Zackarie Casebonne then advanced on a

Elliot Krewson drew a walk to put two runners on with only one out. Both runners advanced on a wild pitch, later bringing the tying run home on a second wild pitch.
Eddie Albert got two strikeouts in the sixth and got the Big Red in order in the seventh, giving his team an opportunity to pull ahead.
Th Big Green did just that, putting two runners on base on back-to-back singles before advancing both runners into scoring position on a wild pitch.
Ethan Brown hit a sacrifice fly to put Dartmouth on top, 2-1.
It only took three pitches in the top of the eight for Cornell to tie the game, hitting its second home run of the day to make it a 2-2 game.

Jackson Hower was hit by the pitch to lead off the inning ensuing Cornell's first pitching change.
The Big Red's next pitcher got an out but dealt two walks, to load the bases. A new pitcher got the final two outs but gave up a sacrifice fly to put Dartmouth up 3-2.
Bryce Loeger pitched the final inning for the Big Green, allowing only one base runner but securing the Big Green victory.
Albert shined in his ninth start of the year, allowing only one run on three hits in seven innings, both his longest start of the season and his career. He also struck out 11 batters, setting a new career high.
He broke his previous career high set two weeks ago at Brown. Albert struck out seven batters in six innings in a win at Brown.
Danny Will pitched for the second straight day, allowing one run on one hit in 0.2 innings of relief.
Joseph Chambers earned the win while first-year
Bryce Loeger earned his first career save for one inning of scoreless and hitless ball.
The Big Green and Big Red will return to Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park Sunday for the final game of the regular season series.
The two teams will now play at 10 a.m. due to weather expected in the afternoon. There will be a ceremony pregame to honor Dartmouth's nine seniors.
