Reid Cashman, Koenig Family Head Coach of Dartmouth Men's Hockey is excited for the program to experience a tremendous atmosphere. "The Friendship Four is one of the best experiences in college hockey. We are honored to be going back a second time. The people of Belfast are tremendous people, the atmosphere in the building is electric and the competition is first class. This is a special tournament to be a part of, and our program is grateful for the opportunity."
Founded by The Odyssey Trust and held annually at The SSE Arena, Belfast, the Friendship Four is the first and only National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I ice hockey tournament to take place outside of North America. Since its inception in 2015, the tournament has become a flagship event in Northern Ireland's sporting calendar, bringing world-class collegiate hockey to Belfast while promoting education, cultural exchange, and community engagement.
Dartmouth faced off with Quinnipiac and UMass Lowell in the 2022 tournament. The 2028-29 tournament will be the first international tournament that Dartmouth has competed in since the 2022 Friendship Four.
The Big Green open the 2025-26 season on Sunday, Oct. 26 with a scrimmage against Norwich at 3 PM. The regular season starts on Sat. Nov. 1 at Warrior Ice Arena in Boston at 7 PM.
