GLOUCESTER, Mass.—The Hockey Commissioners Associate (HCA) announced its watch list for the 2026 Mike Richter Award. Both Roan Clake and Emmett Croteau have been named to the watch list that consists of just four goalies from the ECAC and 29 goalies across Division I.
Clarke has played and started in eight games this season while having a 2.15 goals against average and an .897 save percentage. He has a 6-2-0 record while he notched his first career shutout on Dec. 12 in a 3-0 win over Army. This season he has made 20 or more saves in three games including a season high 23 against Princeton on Jan. 2. His 2.15 goals against average ranks his 15th in the NCAA. In three seasons with the Big Green, the Surrey, B.C. native has played in 29 games with 11 wins, a .891 save percentage, and a 2.68 goals against average.
Croteau has been a top goalie in the country this season as he among national leaders in multiple categories. Through nine starts this season he has a .928 save percentage which leads the ECAC and is 11th in the country. He has a 1.78 goals against average which also leads the ECAC and is third among goalies in the country. This season he has made 20 or more saves in seven games including a season high 31 saves against New Hampshire. The Bonnyville, Alta. native has suited up in three seasons of college hockey and has played and started 33 games. He has a 22-9-0 record with two shutouts, a 2.24 goals against average, and a .900 save percentage. On Dec. 4, he was named HCA National Goalie of the Month for November.
A committee of voters — made up of a cross section of coaches, administrators, scouts and media — will pare the list down to approximately a dozen semifinalists within the next three weeks and then ultimately choose a winner from three finalists who will be announced in April during the NCAA Frozen Four.
No. 10/9 Dartmouth men's hockey returns to Thompson Arena for a pair of ECAC games this weekend. On Friday, Jan. 16 the Big Green host Clarkson at 7 PM at Thompson Arena.
