BATON ROUGE, La. – Dartmouth baseball faced off against the reigning national champions, Friday, #2 LSU. The Big Green opened a 2-0 lead, but the Tigers scored five unanswered runs to beat Dartmouth, 5-2.

With the loss, Dartmouth falls to 1-3 early in the 2026 season.

Both teams had baserunners in the first inning, but neither team was able to push a run across home plate.

Base traffic continued in the second, as
Milo Suarez led off the inning with a walk. He later advanced to second on a wild pitch before
Sam Andersen sent him home with a single to right field.

LSU looked to respond in the bottom half of the inning, as it had batters reach on a hit y pitch and single, but neither runner came around to score.

Taer Rodriguez drew a walk to lead off the inning, giving the Big Green a chance to add to their lead.
Stefan Di Corrado continued his hot bat, ripping a double to left field to double Dartmouth's lead.
A.J. DeMastrie reached on an error to put two on with one out, but the Tigers got out of the inning only giving up one.

LSU put two runners on in the bottom of the third, but starter
Izzy Parsky was able to get out of the jam, keeping it 2-0 in favor of the Big Green.

The Tigers got one back in their half of the fourth, thanks to two walks and two wild pitches. LSU had two runners on with only one out, but were unable to tie the game.

It remained a 2-1 game in favor of the Big Green until the bottom of the sixth when LSU plated two runs on a walk and two hits, taking a 3-2 lead over the Big Green. The Tigers added insurance runs, one in the seventh and one in the eighth, to secure the 5-2 victory over the Big Green.

Parsky, making only his second collegiate appearance, allowed only one run on one hit in four innings of work.

Trey Sejnoha took the loss, giving up two runs on two hits in his 1.1 innings of relief.

Mac Burke,
Nathan Matoush and
Nate Kugler combined for the final 2.2 innings of relief. Burke gave up one run, unearned, in his inning. Matoush got two outs but dealt two walks, giving way to Kugler who allowed one run on two hits in the final inning.

The Big Green will be back in action Saturday, playing a neutral site game against Grambling State. This will be the first matchup in program history between Dartmouth and Grambling.
