HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth baseball hosted the Princeton Tigers for the final game of the regular season series, Sunday. The game was scoreless through the first third, but Princeton's offense broke the game open in the fifth and seventh innings, earning the 9-2 victory over the Big Green.

With the loss, Dartmouth falls to 12-21 overall and 7-11 in the Ivy League.

Through three innings, each team had drawn a walk and recorded a single, but neither was able to push a run home, as the game remained scoreless.

The Tigers were able to get on the board in the fourth, breaking the tie thanks to a solo home run. The Big Green threatened to score in their half of the inning, having drawn back-to-back free bases, but Princeton got out of the jam.

Princeton added three runs in the top of the fifth, taking a 4-0 lead over the Big Green. The Tigers capitalized on two doubles, a walk, a fielder's choice with the bases loaded and a sacrifice fly.

In the sixth, Dartmouth put two on with no outs after
Milo Suarez was hit by the pitch and
Tyler Sirchia dropped a single into center field, but a double play ended the Big Green's momentum.

The Tigers went on to add to their lead in the seventh, plating five runs on three hits and four free bases, opening a 9-0 lead.

The Big Green immediately got two runs back in their half of the inning.
Taer Rodriguez led off the inning with an infield single, later advancing to third on an
Alejandro Puig double.
Nico Bañez singled to score Rodriguez before Puig scored on a
Sam Andersen ground out, making it a 9-2 game.

The Tigers held Dartmouth off the base path for the remainder of the game, as Princeton earned the series win.

Nate Kugler got the start on the mound, allowing four runs on five hits in 4.1 innings of work. He walked three and fanned one.

Kyle Klaric-Schell pitched the next two innings, giving up two runs on two hits. The sophomore was the only Big Green pitcher to not deal a walk today. He also added three strikeouts.

Mac Burke rounded out the game, pitching his second outing of the weekend. In 2.2 innings, he allowed three runs on four hits with two walks and two strikeouts.
