Skiing
vs UNH Day 1 (EISA Championship)
Before Dartmouth:
Q and A with Erin:
Why Dartmouth?
I chose Dartmouth because of its impressive skiing program. I always knew I wanted to ski for an Eastern Division 1 NCAA team. Since the
Dartmouth Ski Team has always been successful on the Eastern and National college circuits, I knew Dartmouth was the place for me.
How long have you been skiing and what got you interested in skiing?
I've been skiing since I was 3 or 4, and I started racing when I was 7. I come from a big ski racing family, my four siblings, parents and
I have always been avid skiers and grew more and more serious about the sport as the years went by. My older sister Alex was a Dartmouth '07 and was the captain of the Dartmouth Ski Team in 2007 when they won the NCAA Championship. My sister Sarah skied for UNH and graduated in 2008. My younger sister Abby is accepted to Dartmouth but has deferred her acceptance the past 2 years to pursue her ski racing goals on the US Development Ski Team. My younger brother Peter is 14 and competes at an elite junior level.
Have you won any academic or skiing awards recently?
2009- Most Outstanding First Year Female
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
My teammates are the ones that know me best! We spend so much time together, so I don't think anything would be a surprise to them! Except maybe that I'm very clumsy. Although I can swiftly ski at high speeds down an icy slope, I sometimes can't manage to walk down the stairs without falling.
What are your future plans, if any?
I have a lot of ideas for the future. Right now I'm thinking about exploring a job in advertising or marketing, going to grad school to study interior design, or working in a public school as a school psychologist or teacher. I'm pretty all over the place with my plans for after I leave the Big Green.
What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus?
Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority
