2023-24 (Sophomore): Started 30 of the Big Green's 32 games... Made 765 saves, good for a .910 save percentage and a 2.58 goals against average... Led the team to 6 straight wins to finish the season, earning a first-round bye in the ECAC Hockey Playoffs since the 2010-11 season... Had two shutouts, one in the 34th annual Ledyard Classic against Lake Superior State, and one against Clarkson that started the Big Green's six game winning streak... Allowed only three total goals against Union in the ECAC Hockey Quarterfinal sweep of Union to send the Big Green to Lake Placid for the first time since 2015-16... Signed a two year contract with the Florida Panthers at the end of the season.

2022-23 (Freshman): Started all 30 games between the pipes… Finished the season with 790 saves, a .899 save percentage and a 3.07 goals against average… Made 42 saves against Harvard in first collegiate start (10/28)… Recorded first career shutout in a 28-save performance in the 6-0 victory over Yale (11/4)… Also recorded shutouts at Yale (1/21) and against Union (2/18)… Made 40 saves against Quinnipiac (1/6)… Recorded a career high 44 saves at home against Quinnipiac (2/4)… Named the ECAC Hockey MAC Goaltending Goaltender of the Week on November 7.

Before Dartmouth: Played his final season of junior hockey with the Nanaimo Clippers of the BCHL… Played in 33 games posting a 24-7-1 record with a save percentage of .924… Helped guide the Clippers to a Coastal Conference Championship… Was named Team MVP and Michigan Hockey Goalie of the Year as a senior at Alpena High School.

Personal: Son of Ed and Meaghan Black… Has one brother and one sister… Enjoys fishing, golf and disc golf… Plans to study business and psychology and pursue a career in law and business.
