Bio
Senior (2010): Started all 13 games and did not missed a single start his entire Dartmouth career ... was a team captain ... scored in first collegiate goal in the final game of his career at Brown on May 1 in the 10-9 overtime loss ... his goal was the first of the game ... scooped up 23 ground balls and caused 10 turnovers ... had double-digit caused turnovers in three of his four years in a Big Green uniform ... had two ground balls and three caused turnovers in the 13-8 loss to Holy Cross in the home opener on March 9 ... picked up a season-high five ground balls in the 18-13 win over Vermont on April 20.
Junior (2009): Once again Gagel was a consistent player for the Big Green, playing and starting in all 15 games ... third-consecutive season in which he had started all games ... grabbed a career-high 34 ground balls ... had a season-high six ground balls against Cornell on April 11 ... recorded five ground balls vs. Brown (March 7) and Providence (April 7).
Sophomore (2008): Has not missed a game in two seasons, starting all 14 as a sophomore at defense ... fifth on the team with 24 groundballs.
Freshman (2007): Started and played in all 15 games ... picked up 26 groundballs ... caused 10 turnovers.
Before Dartmouth: Captained the lacrosse team at St. John's School as a junior and a senior ... earned four letters in lacrosse, three in football and two in soccer ... captain of soccer and football teams as well ... lacrosse team won the district championship in 2003, 2004 and 2005...Named All-Southern Prep Conference as a sophomore ... all-state in 2004 and 2005 ... All-American, All-SPC, District and Team MVP as a senior ... in football was named All-SPC as a senior.
