Junior (2011-2012): Finished in the top five for Dartmouth in three races. Placed 5th at the Dartmouth Invitational and 75th at the Paul Short Invitational. In indoor, Doherty set a new personal-best of 14:21.72 in the 5000m at Boston University's Terrier Invitational.

Sophomore (2010-11): Finished in the top five for Dartmouth in two different races ... placed 58th at the Paul Short Invitational and 33rd at the NCAA Northeast Regional.

Before Dartmouth: A two-time captain of the cross country team, Doherty comes to Dartmouth from Arlington High School in Lagrangeville, N.Y. ... competed for a successful cross country team which won the Section 1 Class AA championship from 2005-07 ... As a senior, he competed for the Section 1 Class A indoor and outdoor track championships ... in four years at Arlington, he earned all-state honors five times, all-section 1 three times and All-American in indoor track as a sophomore ... when not competing, Doherty is a member of the National Honor Society.

Personal: Adam M. Doherty is the son of Francis and Tracey Doherty and has one sister ... is interested in studying economics with an eye on a busines career.
