One of the hardest workers on the team ... scored in his first Heps championships last spring as a freshman with a great effort in the javelin ... trained with the multi-event athletes last winter to develop his overall athletic skills.
Personal Records: Javelin/210-5
High School: Chris Roe was a two-year letterwinner in track and field at Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pennsylvania as well as a three-year letterwinner in wrestling. Roe served as captain of both teams his senior year. In his first year of throwing Chris won the Central League championship, placed first in District 1 and 11th at States.. He also earned a smattering of other awards including Academic All-State 2nd Team and 1st team All-Central League in both wrestling and track and field. He was also named the MVP of the Conestoga boy's track and field team and still holds the school record in the javelin at 178 -3 ft and the javelin relay at 325.5 ft.. Roe was also a member of the National Honor Society.
