Corey DeWitt hails from Ellsworth High School where he was a four-year letterwinner in cross country, track and field, and basketball. His cross country team was the Eastern Maine Champions in 2005-06 and 2006-07. In 2007, DeWitt was the 1600m State Champion. DeWitt earned multiple All-Conference selections throughout his four years at Ellsworth High, including being named First Team All-Conference in basketball his Sophomore, Junior, and Senior years, as well as making the McDonald's All-State team his senior year. On the track DeWitt earned All-State honors his Sophomore through Senior years. All State basketball player at Ellsworth High School

In the classroom DeWitt was involved in Student Council as well as Ellsworth's Mentoring and Tutoring progams.

Corey is the son of Michael and Lisa DeWitt and has two brothers. One of his brothers, Joey, ran cross country and track at UMass Lowell. His other brother, Steven, attended Stanford University.
