Sophomore (2009-10): At the Maine Dual Meet, Connolly set a season best in the 3,000 meters with a time of 9:14.12.
Before Dartmouth: A four-year letterwinner in track and cross country at the Marist school, Connolly captained both squads as a junior and a senior ... As a senior, he led the harriers to the GHSA AAAA team state championship with an individual championship ... the team also won the state championship in 05-06 ... As a senior, he was rewarded with the Georgia Athletic Director's Association Georgia High School Male Athletie of the Year Award as well as the Roy T. Benson Award, the highest award given to a Marist cross country runner ... other awards and honors included scholar athlete, Most Valuable Runner, best distance runner, most improved, coach's award, Vincent J. Dooley Award and others ... as well as excelling on the running field and track, Connolly also excelled in the classroom earning the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Cup for Best All-Around Senior, the Harley R. Kimmel Award for Salutatorian, a National Merit Scholar award and was the Mathfax National Geometry Champion.
Personal: Born Timothy David Connolly, he prefers David ... he is the son of Tim and Mary Connolly and has three sisters ... at Dartmouth, he is planning to study engineering and pursue a businiess career.

Why Dartmouth?
I came to Dartmouth because it is one of the top schools in the nation and everyone here is very down to earth and fun.
How long have you been running and what got you interested?
I started running in 9th grade because I thought I might be good, and I didn't want to play football.
