Q & A with Jake

Why did you choose Dartmouth?
I chose Dartmouth because I fell in love with campus as soon as I set foot here. I also chose to come here because of the prestige of the academics, from the great teachers to amazing study abroad opportunities.

How long have you been competing in track and what got you interested?
I've been competing since 7th grade. I became interested because I found out my mom was fairly successful in Track and Field herself, so I thought I would give it a try. I've always enjoyed running, and what really got me hooked was high jump. I love the event.

Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I am named after the great James Taylor. My middle name is Taylor, and both my parents really enjoy his music.

What are your future plans, if any?
I have no plans that are set in stone at the moment. I'm still in the process of choosing a major, which needs to come before I can make future plans.

What extra curricular activities are you involved in on campus?
Right now I haven't been able to explore campus enough to find an extracurricular I really like, other than Track and Field. Hopefully within the next few weeks I can get more involved!
