Pat Doherty was named a volunteer assistant coach with the Dartmouth women's hockey team in November of 2017 and is entering his third season with this team in 2020-21.
A 2015 St. Lawrence graduate, Doherty missed only one game (due to illness), and was named a captain during his senior season.
He was a forward who mostly played center, but spent time at wing as well. He has always been a two way forward, playing on both the power play and penalty kill. He ranks top three all-time in shorthanded goals at St. Lawrence. After graduating, he played professionally for a year in France’s top league.
Doherty majored in mathematics and economics, and minored in statistics. He currently works in Hanover at a private equity firm. He helped coach the Hanover High School boys varsity hockey team last winter.
