Hanover, N.H. ? Members of the Dartmouth women's soccer team continue to receive awards following their impressive 2006 campaign.
Four players recently received All-Northeast accolades from SoccerBuzz magazine. Senior defender Whitney Douthett (Newtown, Pa.) and junior goalkeeper Amanda Webb (Danvers, Mass) were named to the second team. Douthett and Webb anchored the Dartmouth defense that boasted a 0.58 goals against average and allowed just 6.6 opponent shots per game.
Senior Emily Tracy (Belfair, Wash.) earned third team honors after posting four goals and two assists this season. Three of Tracy's four goals were game-winners, including two in Ivy play.
Freshman midfielder Ali Hubbard (Marshfield, Mass.) was named to the All-Freshman team after an impressive collegiate debut. Hubbard started 13 of 16 games and played an integral role both defensively and offensively, contributing five points.
Off the field, the academic honors continued to roll in for senior defender Colleen Kelly (Potomac, Md.), who was named to the NSCAA Scholar All-East Region second team. Earlier this year, Kelly was named to the Academic-All America national third team by ESPN the Magazine and CoSIDA. She was also an honorable mention All-Ivy selection.
