HANOVER, N.H. ? The Big Green men's basketball team continues itsroad series this weekend against Brown on Friday, Feb. 8 in Providence, R.I., followed by a game on Saturday, Feb. 9 against Yale in New Haven, Conn.
Last week's road trip to Princeton and the University of Pennsylvania left Dartmouth disappointed, as the Big Green dropped both games by extremely close margins. Both contests went down to the wire, as Dartmouth lost to Princeton 57-53 and to Penn 68-66. Though Dartmouth has never swept the Princeton-Penn series, last weekend's combined six-point margin was the smallest in the history of the trip.
The game against Penn saw junior Alex Barnett (St. Louis, Mo.) get his fifth double-double of the season, with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Barnett still leads the Ivy League in both categories. Junior DeVon Mosley (Mesquite, Texas) also leads the Ivies in steals with 36, an average of two per game.
Brown currently has a record of 10-8, and is 2-2 in the Ivy League after splitting its home stand last weekend against Cornell and Columbia. The Bears fell 75-64 against Cornell, and beat Columbia 68-63. Dartmouth leads its series against Brown 74-61, but Brown emerged victorious the last time the two teams played.
Yale, who leads its series against Dartmouth 96-94, has a 7-11 record going into this weekend. The Bulldogs are 1-3 in the Ivy League after dropping both of the home games last weekend against Columbia and Cornell.
The game against Brown will be broadcast on B2 Networks starting at 6:45. The broadcast can be found here.
After this weekend, the Big Green will return to Leede Arena for a four-game home stand starting Friday, Feb. 15 against Columbia. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm.
