Rowing Competes in Three Regattas to Begin Spring Slate

HANOVER, N.H. – All three Dartmouth rowing squads were in the water over the weekend, as the spring season has officially kicked off.
The men's heavyweight team competed at the Alumni Cup and picked up a win in the fourth varsity 8 race (6:48.9). Dartmouth had three other second place finishes in the Varsity 8, 2nd Varsity 8 and 3rd Varsity 8. The team also had a separate event with Holy Cross and won the Varsity 8 and 2nd Varsity 8.
The men's lightweight team faced Delaware and Fordham and finished second in the Varsity 8 race in 6:33.6. The squad finished third in the 2nd Varsity 8 and then 3V/Freshman 8.
Women's crew had a strong showing in Boston, as they won the Varsity 8 race over Minnesota and Rutgers in 7:16.0. In the 2nd Varsity 8 and Varsity 4 race, the Big Green finished second behind Minnesota.
