HOW WE DID
Dartmouth finished the regular season as the top team in the conference with a 5-0-0 record and 24 points in the standings. Last year's champion from Brown was second as it posted a 4-1-0 mark and 21 points with the Bears' lone blemish coming in an 8-5 defeat at Brophy Field on Oct. 3.
LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green closed out the 2015 fall season with a 63-0 blanking of Yale in New Haven on Halloween. Kat Ramage and Tatjana Toeldte led the way with 18 and 17 points, respectively, in the shutout of the Bulldogs. Yejadai Dunn added another 10 points in the dominating win.
RECOGNIZE
Dunn was named the DartmouthSports.com Female Athlete of the Week for her continued efforts in keeping the Green unbeaten against Ivy foes this season in the win against the Elis.
WHAT THE COACH SAYS
“We are looking forward to an exciting weekend of Ivy rugby. Our sport is growing so fast — the level of play and professionalism just keeps rising and our conference is at the forefront of that growth. I think we speak for every team in the league in saying that winning the Ivy 15s Championship would be a huge point of pride for us. We have been building all season for this weekend and are ready to come out firing on all cylinders against some fierce competition.” – head coach Katie Dowty
IN THE POLLS
Dartmouth is No. 10 in the latest Goff Rugby Report rankings announced Friday morning. Penn State (9-0) and Central Washington (8-0) hold down the top two spots in the poll, but no other Ivy team is currently ranked higher than the Big Green as championship weekend returns to Hanover. Dartmouth's only loss this season remains at Quinnipiac back in September, a team that is now No. 4 in the nation.
A MEASURE OF REVENGE
In their first season at the varsity level, the Big Green have set themselves up for a rematch of last year's final in which Brown bested the home team, 42-5, to take the Cup. A win by both teams on Saturday would set up a Sunday rematch with the league crown on the line once again.
