WEDNESDAY'S GAME
The Dartmouth women's lacrosse team begins a three-game homestand Wednesday against regional rival Vermont at Scully-Fahey Field.
LAST TIME OUT
• Dartmouth defeated Cornell, 19-10, Saturday in Ithaca.
• The victory was the first on the road against the Big Red since the 2012 season.
• Ellie Carson led the way with five goals, while Katie Bourque and Kierra Sweeney each had four.
• Goalkeeper Kiera Vrindten turned aside seven shots in each half to finish with a season-high 14 saves against Dartmouth's colorful counterparts.
SCOUTING THE CATAMOUNTS
• Vermont comes to Hanover with a 4-10 overall record.
• The Catamounts are currently winless in a competitive America East through five conference games.
• UVM's leading scorer is Elise Koehl with 38 points on 33 goals.
• Alex Bernier is third on the roster in scoring with 27 points thanks mostly to her team-leading 17 assists.
• Additionally Jenna Janes is second in goals with 26.
• Maddy Kuras has started all 14 games this season for the #VCats and has been the goalie of record in each. She has a .436 save percentage to go along with a 14.48 goals against average.
• Current Vermont assistant coach Jess Drummond was on the Dartmouth staff for three seasons (2014-16) before making the move to Burlington.
AGAINST VERMONT
• Formerly a regular opponent on the Big Green's schedule, Wednesday marks the first time playing one another since the 2015 season.
• Prior to the two-year hiatus, the Catamounts won three straight against Dartmouth, including victories in Hanover in 2013 (double overtime) and 2015.
• Before those three losses, Dartmouth had won 11 straight between 1995 and 2012.
• Overall, the Green and White lead the all-time series, 21-6-1.
TAKEOVER!
• Katie Bourque will be taking control of the NCAA Lacrosse Instagram on Wednesday.
• Bourque will be showing fans the inner workings of the Dartmouth women's lacrosse team as well as her game day routines as a student-athlete.
• Follow Bourque and her teammates on Wednesday: @NCAAlax.
15-PLUS
• Dartmouth has four Ivy League wins this season.
• In those victories, the Green and White have scored 72 goals for an average of 18 per game. Overall, the team is averaging 16.6 goals per outing.
• That figure is the best amongst the Ancient Eight teams in league play with Princeton (15.5), Harvard (14.80) and Penn (14.75) trailing in the top four.
200…
• Kathryn Giroux — the program's all-time leader in draw controls already — is just five away from 200 for her career.
• She is seeking to become the fourth player in league history to reach the mark and the second this season, joining Yale's Izzy Nixon.
• Her 19 in an earlier contest this season remains the best mark in the nation this season with six other players reaching 16 in a single game.
FROM THE ARC
• The Big Green are the Ivy League's top team this season in free-position shots, successfully converting on 49.4% of opportunities.
• That mark is good for 13th nationally.
• Mastrio's 1.09 FPG per game is the second-best mark in the conference, while Carson (0.73) is eighth and Sweeney (0.64) is 10th.
