BOSTON, Mass. – Seven members of the Dartmouth heavyweight rowing team were named to the Intercollegiate Rowing Association (IRA) All-Academic Team for the 2017-18 year.
In all, 302 student-athletes from 28 member institutions were recognized. Among those 302 were Big Green rowers
Austin Heye,
Emma Cooper (coxswain),
Jake Rauh (coxswain),
Liam Davidson,
Luke Hudspeth,
Marc Sevastopoulo and
Oliver Bub.
To be eligible for recognition, a student-athlete must have maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.35 or higher, completed one full year at their institution, be a letter winner and have competed at the 2018 IRA National Championship Regatta.
Dartmouth wrapped up the season by finishing 10th at the IRA Regatta, sending its first, second and third varsity boats to the Petite Finals before the rest of the day's races were called off due to poor weather. The Green took third in the varsity eight, fourth in the second varsity and second in the third varsity.
