HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women's rugby head coach
Katie Dowty has announced the schedule for the upcoming 2018 season.
The Big Green will kick off the fall with two away matches, first heading to Ohio to take on Notre Dame College (Sept. 2) for the first time in program history, before traveling to Connecticut to face Quinnipiac (Sept. 8). Almost a year ago to the date, Dartmouth kicked off the season by taking down the Bobcats (22-17), which were ranked No. 1 in the country.
After that, the Green will be at home for the next three games against Brown (Sept. 15), Harvard (Sept. 22) and American International College (Oct. 6). The match against the Crimson will coincide with the team's 40th reunion weekend. Dartmouth will close the regular season at Army West Point the following weekend.
On Oct. 27, Dartmouth will be looking for its fourth consecutive Ivy Championship title, while that will be followed by the NIRA Quarterfinal (Nov. 10), semifinal (Nov. 16) and final (Nov. 18). The semifinal and final will take place in Hanover, while the quarterfinal is still TBD.
The Big Green went 8-1 last season, coming out of the regular season undefeated and making it all the way to NIRA Final, narrowly falling to Quinnipiac, 29-20.
