HANOVER, N.H. — The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the Google Cloud Academic All-District Teams today with Dartmouth guard
James Foye on the five-player team for District I in Division I. He was joined on the team by two other Ivy Leaguers in Brown's Zach Hunsaker and Harvard's Henry Welsh.
An economics major with a 3.96 GPA, Foye has been a consistent force for Dartmouth at both ends of the court this season, starting all 24 games thus far. The junior tri-captain is averaging 10.1 points a game while shooting 50 percent from the floor, 47.7 percent from the perimeter and 82.4 percent at the foul line. In addition, the native of Hamilton, Massachusetts, boasts an assist-to-turnover ratio of nearly 3.0 (58 assists, 20 turnovers) while hauling in 3.0 rebounds a night, plus is second on the team with 17 steals. Twice he has topped 20 points in a game, including a career-high 23 at Bryant on Dec. 21.
First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America ballot. First-, second- and third-team (if applicable) Academic All-America honorees will be announced in mid-March.
Foye is the first Big Green player to earn a spot on the All-District I Team since Connor Boehm in 2016. In addition, he is the fourth selection for Dartmouth in the last six seasons with Boehm making the team in 2014 and '16, and Alex Mitola in 2015.
Dartmouth (11-13, 2-6 Ivy) is back in action this weekend with a game at league-leading Yale (17-4, 7-1 Ivy) on Friday night that will be televised on ESPNews at 7 p.m., then another contest the next evening at Brown (15-9, 3-5 Ivy) at 6 p.m. that will be streamed live on ESPN+.
