The Big Green men's tennis team had a 2-0 weekend, defeating Brown on the road by a score of 4-3 before taking down Yale, 4-1, at home two days later. Against the Bears the team was tied at 3-all when John Speicher clinched the win with a 7-6, 6-2 win over Robert Siniakowicz at No. 6 singles. Not content with that, he also earned the clinching point in an exciting matchup against the Bulldogs, winning the first set 7-5 and following that up with a 7-6 victory, culminating in an 11-9 tiebreak over Alan Sou.
In Dartmouth's come-from-behind win Saturday at No. 9 Penn, the driving force behind the Big Green attack was senior Kellen D'Alleva and her six points. The senior attacker had a goal and five assists against the Quakers, her fifth game of four or more assists this season, D'Alleva now has 34 on the year. She is now tied for second all-time in single-season assists by a Dartmouth player with three games remaining in the regular season. In helping the Big Green to their first win against Penn in three years, D'Alleva and her teammates moved up to No. 20 in the Inside Lacrosse national poll and No. 20 in the coaches' rankings.Â
