HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth women's basketball team suffered a defeat at the hands of the Penn Quakers Saturday night at Leede Arena, 66-33. The Big Green fall to 7-10 (1-3 Ivy League), while the Quakers advance to 11-5 (1-2 Ivy) and snap a four-game losing streak.

Allie Harland played the final five minutes of the contest and was a bright spot for the Big Green, scoring 10 points on 4-of-5 shooting and 2-of-2 from deep.
Veronica Kelly led Dartmouth with 11 rebounds and finished with five points. Â

Penn had three players score in double figures, including the Ivy League's leading scorer Kayla Padilla, who finished with 15. Eleah Parker put together a 14-point, 16-rebound double-double.

"It was a disappointing night because we want to show that we can compete with any team," saidÂ
Belle Koclanes, the Gail Koziara Boudreaux '82 and Family Head Coach of Women's Basketball. "We are going to keep building and we have some bright spots with our younger players. Moving forward, we need to figure out how to put the ball in the basket."

Dartmouth stuck with the Quakers through the first six minutes.
Paula Lenart scored four early points as the Big Green were behind, 8-7, at the 4:19 mark. Penn then closed the quarter on a 13-3 run to go up 21-10 after one.

Penn dominated the second quarter by scoring 23 consecutive points for a total run of 29-0 from the 2:41 mark in the first, to the 1:10 mark in the second.
Veronica Kelly ended the quarter with four points and brought the halftime deficit to 44-14.

With the game in hand, Penn outscored Dartmouth 14-5 in the third to bring the score to 58-19.
Allie Harland then gave the Leede Arena crowd a spark by scoring 10 points in the final five minutes of the game with a pair of 3-pointers.

The Big Green stay in Hanover for meetings with Brown on Friday at 6 p.m. and Yale on Saturday at 4 p.m.
