THIS WEEKEND
The Dartmouth volleyball team is on the road for four matches in a row, starting with Princeton and Penn to kick off October.

LAST TIME OUT
The Big Green opened Ivy League play at home against Harvard on Friday, coming back from a two-set deficit to force an extra set before falling in the fifth.
·      Makenzie Arent had another double-double (her fifth of the season) with 22 assists and 14 digs, being named to the Ivy League weekly awards honor roll.
·      Emma Engstrom led with 19 digs, Ellie Blain was first with 14 kills and 16 points, and Francesca Meldrum had a team-leading four total blocks.
·      After falling behind, 2-0, Dartmouth won the third set (26-24) and then tied things up with a 25-23 fourth set. It was anyone's game in the fifth set, but Harvard started to pull ahead in the middle. The Big Green snuck a few more points in there before the Crimson ended it (15-11).

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Princeton – picked to finish second behind Yale in the Ivy League standings – heads into the weekend on a six-match winning streak after going unbeaten at the Colgate Tournament and the City Classic. The Tigers downed travel partner Penn, 3-0, when it opened conference play last Friday.

LAST TIME AGAINST PRINCETON
The Big Green lost both matches to the Tigers in 2019 by scores of 3-0. The last time Dartmouth beat Princeton was a 3-2 victory in 2017.

SCOUTING THE QUAKERS
Penn started 2021 by winning the Sheraton University City Volleyball Invitational at the Palestra but have not won a match since and are currently riding a seven-match losing streak. Most recently, they fell to Princeton.

LAST TIME AGAINST PENN
The Big Green had a pair of 3-1 losses to the Quakers in 2019. Dartmouth last defeated Penn in 2018.
