HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth women's rugby program returns to Hanover for the first time since the NIRA final, hosting the Ivy 7s Championship at Brophy Field on Saturday, April 22. Pool play begins at 9 a.m. with knockout rounds following at 3 p.m.
Dartmouth B, who is set to face Penn on Field 2 at 9:20 a.m. as part of the Women's Club A pool, is the first Big Green team in action. Dartmouth opens the day against Brown on Field 1 at 9:40 a.m.
LOOKING BACK AT TROPICAL 7s
Dartmouth competed in both the Open and Elite Divisions in Tampa nearly two weeks ago. The Big Green made a run to the Open Division championship, eventually losing to Davenport in the final, and the Elite team was unbeaten on the opening day, but lost to Lindenwood and Harvard on Saturday.
Sophie Ragg reached the try zone in five of six total games in the Elite Division, while
Vanessa Ortiz-Pallen and
Lauren Ferridge were among the leaders of a balanced attack in the Open Division.
LAST YEAR'S IVY 7s CHAMPIONSHIP
Dartmouth traveled to Harvard for the 2022 Ivy 7s Championship. The Big Green's A team went 3-1, capped by a 24-17 loss to Harvard in the final, and the B side was undefeated on its way to the bowl championship.
Ava Procter, who scored 20 points from four tries, was a key contributor to the A team.

Dartmouth is set to travel to Houston to compete in the USA Rugby Collegiate 7s Nationals, which begin Friday, May 5 and run through Sunday, May 7.
