DARTMOUTH TAKES QUICK BREAK FROM CONFERENCE PLAY
The Big Green will play one more game on the road before returning to Red Rolfe Field at Biondi Park for the home opener this weekend. Dartmouth will take a road trip to Lowell, Massachusetts to face the UMass Lowell River Hawks on Tuesday.
LAST TIME OUT
Dartmouth travelled to Cornell to face the Big Red last weekend for the second Ivy League series of the season. The Big Green were coming off a series win over Yale in the Ivy League opener, looking to continue their early Ivy League play success.
The Big Red opened the scoring early in game one of the doubleheader, getting out to a 6-0 lead through two innings of play. Despite adding four runs of their own in the third inning on a passed ball and two singles and coming within one run in the sixth inning, the six-run lead was too much to overcome, as the Big Red took game one, 7-5.
In game two, Cornell wasted no time emulating their success from game one, opening a 7-0 lead. Dartmouth was able to add two runs in the fifth inning with the bases loaded, but the Big Red added ten unanswered runs to win game two, 17-2.
Dartmouth looked to reset and start with a clean slate in the final game of the series on Sunday, but the Big Red's bats remained hot as they put up 11 runs before the Big Green were able to get on the board. The Big Green loaded the bases multiple times, pushing four runs across the plate, but were not able to complete the comeback, falling 11-4 in the series finale.
SCOUTING UMASS LOWELL

Right behind Martinez is Alex Luccini who posts a .307 batting average and has knocked in 18 runs this season. Luccini leads the River Hawks with five homeruns up to this point.
