PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Despite winning the second quarter, the Dartmouth women's lacrosse team fell 18-11 to Brown in an Ivy League contest on Saturday afternoon.Â

Mia Puccio matched a career-high of two goals.

Fiona O'Keeffe all netted a goal. Burdick tallied an assist while Murray and O'Keeffe collected two assists.Â

Gisele Todd collected six saves and two groundballs in 35:10 minutes of play.
Tamer Luzi collected a season-high of five saves and picked up a groundball in 24:50 minutes of play.Â

With the loss, the Big Green fall to 6-5 overall and 0-4 in league play. Meanwhile, the Bears improve to 9-3 overall and 2-2 in Ivy play.Â

Brown made an 8-0 in the first quarter to take the lead. Nearing the end of the first quarter, Elders put one past the keeper, to put Dartmouth on the board, 8-1. Closing the quarter, the Bears were able to net another goal, 9-1. In the second quarter, the Big Green outscored Brown with goals from Erb, O'Keeffe, Puccio, and Murray but trailed 12-5 heading into halftime.

In the third quarter, Puccio capitalized on her free position goal, scoring her second of the game, 12-6. In response, Brown went on a 5-0 run. Closing the quarter with two more goals by Erb and Burdick, Brown led 17-8 going into the fourth quarter. In the last frame, the Bears scored a single goal. Dartmouth scored three more goals by ultimately fell short.Â

The Big Green return home to take on Columbia on Saturday, April 13 at Scully-Fahey Field. The first draw is set for 12:00 p.m.Â
