HANOVER, N.H. - The Big Green and Lions took the field for two games Sunday, wrapping up the regular season series and each team's third Ivy League Series. The Lions continued their momentum from yesterday, defeating the Big Green 8-1 in Game 1 and 19-13 in Game 2.
With the two losses on the day, the Big Green move to 7-15 on the season and 2-7 against Ivy League opponents.
GAME 1 | Columbia 8, Dartmouth 1
In game one of the doubleheader, the Lions scored eight runs over the first five innings. The Big Green finally got on the board in the sixth inning when Kolton Freeman grounded out to score A.J. DeMastrie, putting the only run on the board for Dartmouth in an 8-1 loss.
Marco Dumsky got the ball to start for Dartmouth, pitching 3.1 innings. Mac Burke pitched four innings in relief, allowing two runs on five hits with four strikeouts. Joseph Chambers pitched the final 1.2 innings, holding the Lions to only one hit and not allowing another run to score.

GAME 2 | Columbia 19, Dartmouth 13
The Big Green threatened a large comeback in the ninth inning, pushing nearly double digit runs across the board, but the Lions' lead was too much to overcome in a 19-13 loss.
Columbia scored runs in every inning but three, opening up a 9-0 lead before the Big Green were able to bring runners home. Dartmouth made the score 9-2 in the fifth inning when Elliot Krewson and Nathan Cmeyla both hit singles to score Camden Rush and Nico Bañez.
The Lions added four runs in the top of the sixth inning to retake an 11 run lead but a triple by Luke Carroll and a single by Rush each scored a run to again chip away at the Lions lead.
Runs in the seventh and eighth innings put Columbia up 18-4 but Dartmouth threatened in the ninth inning.
Chris Miller led off the inning as a pinch hitter, drawing a walk to give the offense a chance to score runs. DeMastrie followed with a walk before Zackarie Casebonne hit an infield single to load the bases. Hower then scored two of the three base runners on a double before Carroll collected another RBI with a single to bring the game to 19-7.
Columbia replaced their pitcher, hoping to limit the damage and secure the Lions' first out of the inning, but a walk and hit by pitch reloaded the bases and scored a run. Freeman reached on a fielder's choice, beating the double play to score another run for the Big Green before Krewson collected his third hit of the game to make it a nine run game.
DeMastrie came up to the plate for the second time in the ninth inning, drawing another walk to reload the bases for Casebonne who cleared the bases on a double, making the score 19-13. The Lions made another pitching change and were able to limit any more Big Green offense en route to the victory.
Devin Milberg started on the mound for the Big Green, throwing 3.1 innings and allowing four runs. Jack Metzger and Danny Will combined for he next 3.2 innings of work before Drew Koenen came into the game, pitching a perfect inning. Clark Gilmore pitched the ninth inning.
