HANOVER, N.H. –
Ryan Cornish dropped 20 for the Big Green as the Dartmouth men's basketball team fell in a nail-biter with Princeton, 81-80, from Leede Arena on Saturday afternoon.
Brandon Mitchell-Day added 16 points and grabbed nine rebounds while
Cade Haskins scored 12 in the contest.
The Big Green's record falls to 7-8 (1-1 Ivy League) and Princeton's improves to 13-4 (2-0 Ivy League).

FIRST HALF:
- An early run for the Tigers put them up 12-6 going into the first media timeout.
- Three pointers from Cornish, Jayden Williams and Jackson Munro on four possessions gave the Big Green the lead, 20-18, with 11:35 remaining.
- Princeton responded with five quick points but a steal from Williams led to two successful free throws and sparked a Big Green run to regain a 29-28 lead with 7:10 left.
- The half ended with Dartmouth outscoring Princeton and gave the Big Green a 41-38 lead.
SECOND HALF:
- The teams exchanged multiple point runs for the first five minutes, with the Big Green staying slightly ahead, 46-45, 5:33 in.
- With 12:02 left in the half, a Mitchell-Day steal gave way to a corner three from Romeo Myrthil to allow Dartmouth to jump to a 52-50 lead.
- A three pointer from Princeton's Caden Pierce put the Tigers in front by one, 60-59. Xaivian Lee followed that with seven points of his own to force a Big Green timeout. 67-59, Tigers
- A seven-point run by the Big Green put them ahead 80-78 which included a dunk from Mitchell-Day and a clutch three from Cade Haskins with 21 seconds left.
- Lee drained a dagger three-pointer with six seconds remaining to take the victory, 81-80.

- The game saw four ties and a season high 14 lead changes.
