In a similar game to the one the Big Green played on Friday, Head Coach
Maura Crowell said her team came out of the gate with a energy.
"A lot of good jump in the first period. We got after them. We took 11 or 12 shots to maybe their six, so really set the tone again," Crowell said. "Good transition hockey, good speed and attacking the net."
Dartmouth, tallied 31 shots on net on Saturday, beating the season high it set last night.
"We can obviously be a little more creative, a little more dynamic in those sports, but we're working on it," Crowell said about her offensive message to the team. "We got a lot of pucks through from our D and we just have to find that loose change in front of the slot."
The Big Green will play one more set of games next weekend before the holiday break, welcoming St. Michael's and St. Anselm to Thompson Arena.
"We're excited that we get the opportunity to play more hockey right now," Crowell said. "A lot of teams are done for the first half and we get to play. I think we took some big steps this weekend."
Puck drop on Friday, December 12 against St. Micheal's is set for 3 p.m. Friday's game will also be the Big Green's Teddy Bear Toss. Bring a new teddy bear to throw onto the ice after Dartmouth's first goal.
