Brandon Mitchell-Day recorded his third double double of the season with 17 points and 13 rebounds to help the Dartmouth men's basketball team to a season sweep of Columbia after a 78-56 victory from Leede Arena on Friday night.

Ryan Cornish also scored 17 for the Big Green while
Jackson Munro recorded eight points, eight rebounds and five blocks.
The Big Green's record improves to 11-10 (5-3 Ivy League) and Columbia's falls to 12-9 (1-7 Ivy League). Â

FIRST HALF: 
- An early 8-0 run by the Big Green put them ahead 12-6 going into the first media timeout.
- Five quick points from Jayden Williams and a layup from Mitchell-Day gave the Big Green a 23-12 lead with 10:30 remaining.
- Munro blocked two shots and Connor Christensen added a block with 6:31 remaining, Big Green up 27-19.
- The half ended on a three pointer from Cornish that just beat the shot clock and put Dartmouth up 36-27.
SECOND HALF:
- Columbia put up five points early in the second half to close the Big Green lead to 39-32. The unanswered points were broken by five points from Romeo Myrthil, 44-32 Big Green.
- Two three pointers from Connor Amundsen and one from Williams on three possessions extended the Dartmouth lead to 57-42 midway through the half.
- The two team exchanged baskets for the next 4:56 until buckets from beyond the arc from Cameron McNamee and Cornish put the Big Green ahead 72-51 with 4:36 remaining.
- McNamee scored the final nine points for the Big Green compared to the Lions five and Dartmouth took the victory 78-56.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Big Green out rebounded the Lions 41-33.
- Dartmouth held the lead for 36:26 of the game.
- Mitchell-Day shot 67% from the field.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- This is the second straight game that Dartmouth has held their opponent to 56 points. The team beat Harvard Saturday, Feb. 8 by a score of 76-56.
- Munro's five blocks were a career high.
