Cade Haskins led the Big Green with 17 points as the Dartmouth men's basketball team took down Cornell 88-49 Saturday evening from Leede Arena. He added six rebounds to the stat line. The score marks the most points against Cornell since scoring 97 on January 15, 1988 - a 97-83 win.

Ryan Cornish drained 16 points to the box score while
Brandon Mitchell-Day grabbed eight rebounds for the Big Green.
The Big Green's record improves to 12-10 (6-3 Ivy League) and Cornell's falls to 13-9 (5-4 Ivy League). Â

FIRST HALF: 
- The Big Green held Cornell from scoring for 3:24 and put up nine of their own during the Big Red drought.
- Two three-pointers from Haskins, one off a steal on the other end and back-to-back dunks from Mitchell-Day and Jayden Williams extended the Dartmouth lead to 21-2 with 12:50 left in the half.
- Another 9-3 run brought the Big Green lead to 30-7 with 8:38 to go.
- The Cornell offense gained some life down the stretch of the half, but the Big Green took the 44-18 lead into halftime.
SECOND HALF:
- Cornell scored the first points of the half, but Mitchell-Day responded immediately with an offensive rebound and dunk. 46-20, Dartmouth.
- With 11:39 left, nine unanswered points from the Big Green put them in front 63-30.
- A late push from the Big Red brought the score to 70-41 going into the third media timeout of the half.
- With less than five to go, two three-pointers a piece from Connor Christensen and Ben Brown electrified the crowd and extended the lead to 87-42.
- The game ended with Cornell outscoring Dartmouth 7-1 but the Big Green took the victory 88-49.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Big Green out rebounded the Big Red 49-35. Within that, they grabbed two more offensive rebounds.
- Dartmouth recorded 11 steals and notched 20 points off turnovers.
- The Big Green held Cornell to 11% shooting from beyond the arc.
BEYOND THE BOXSCORE:
- Every Big Green player who saw action in the contest contributed points.
- This is the third straight game that Dartmouth has held their opponent to 56 points or less. The team beat Harvard Saturday, Feb. 8 by a score of 76-56 and Columbia by a score of 78-56 on Friday, Feb. 14.
- Tonight was Dartmouth's largest ever margin of victory against Cornell.
- Dartmouth handed Cornell its largest margin of defeat against any opponent (Ivy League or non-league) since November 25, 2015 — a 93-49 loss to Pitt.
