Ryan Cornish and
Brandon Mitchell-Day combined for 50 points as the Dartmouth men's basketball team fell to Yale 72-67 from Leede Arena on Friday evening.

Cornish drained 28 points for the Big Green while Mitchell-Day buried 22. Cornish shot 45% from the field and 55% from three while Mitchell-Day shot 60% from the field.
The Big Green's record falls to 13-12 (7-5 Ivy League) and Yale's improves to 19-6 (12-0 Ivy League). Â

FIRST HALF: 
- The Bulldogs went on an early run to take a 12-8 lead.
- Four points from Mitchell-Day tied the game at 12-12 with 13:29 remaining.
- The rest of the half, the teams went basket for basket until three pointers from Cornish and Mitchell-Day gave the Big Green a 28-24 lead with 4:04 to go.
- The half ended with a Jackson Munro basket and a three pointer from Cornish to put the Big Green ahead 35-29 going into halftime.
SECOND HALF:
- The Big Green came out of halftime and went on a 6-2 run to extend to a 10-point lead with 18:01 remaining in the half.
- 10 unanswered points from the Bulldogs tied the game 41-41 with 16:35 left. Another six points allowed the Bulldogs to regain the lead, 47-44.
- The teams once again exchanged baskets for close to five minutes with Yale holding the lead.
- Nine Bulldog points compared to the Big Green's two extended the Yale lead to 10, 66-56.
- The Big Green responded with seven unanswered of their own, all from Cornish and Mitchell-Day, but it wasn't enough to hold off the Bulldogs. Yale took the victory, 72-67.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
- The Big Green forced seven Yale turnovers and capitalized with 10 points off them.
- The game saw 10 lead changes and four ties.
- Cornish's 28 points ties his season high. He scored 28 at Cornell on January 31.
- Connor Amundsen added eight rebounds to the box score, a career high.
