HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth men's basketball team opened 2026 and closed its non-conference slate with a 107-43 victory over Elms College, marking its second consecutive New Year's Day victory.
The 64 point lead counts for the sixth highest scoring margin in program history, as well as the second time this season the Big Green have added to the single game score margin record list. Additionally, the 107 points ties for the eighth highest single-game scoring in program history.
Anton Strelnikov only played for nine and a half minutes, but led the team with 16 points and set his career high in scoring. Nikola Abusara had his best game of the season so far and set a career high in points with 13. Brandon Mitchell-Day recorded yet another double-double with 12 points and 11 rebounds.

FIRST HALF:
Connor Amundsen put Dartmouth on the board just 18 seconds into the game, giving it a lead it wouldn't surrender for the rest of the game.
Elms didn't score its first points of the game until 16 minutes in, when Andrew Ciaglo hit a three-pointer to get on the board.
Similarly, the Blazers went into halftime down by 19, thanks to Ciaglo cutting the deficit with another three-pointer. Dartmouth outscored Elms 49-20 in the first half.
SECOND HALF:
DJ Watkins opened the second half for Elms with a jumper, bringing the score to 49-22. Connor Amundsen went on a 6-0 run before the Blazers scored a layup three minutes in.
Dartmouth surpassed 100 points for the second time this season with back-to-back layups by Strelnikov and Tyler Garrett.
The Big Green claimed its largest lead of the game with just 38 seconds left in the game due to a layup and free throw from Abusara, securing the 107-43 victory.
INSIDE THE NUMBERS:
Dartmouth scored 64 points in the paint, the highest of the season.
The bench was responsible for 61 of Dartmouth's 107 points.
The Big Green shot 76.5% from the free throw line, making 13 of 17. They also has a 59.2 free throw percentage, making 42 of 71.
