Why Dartmouth?

I chose Dartmouth for its exceptional academic reputation and large and diverse curriculum. I also wanted to continue rowing at a school with a strong and competitive lightweight rowing program.

How long have you been rowing and what got you interested in rowing?

This is currently my 5th year of rowing. My interest in the sport was sparked by the fact that my high school had recently started a rowing program, and I wanted to try something new and different.

Have you won any academic or rowing awards recently?

In my senior year of high school, I won my team's Most Valuable Rower award.

Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates?

Before I began rowing, I was overweight and out of shape. Now, as a result of the exercise involved, I am a lightweight rower.

What are your future plans, if any?

I am considering a major in Economics. I would also like to continue rowing and see where it takes me.
