Q and A with Emily
Why Dartmouth?
The sense of community at Dartmouth is incomparable and the students' enthusiasm for everything they do is infectious. The professors are also excellent. The vibrant, intellectual, and close-knit community (amongst other things) makes Dartmouth a great place to go to school. I can't imagine being anywhere else!
How long have you been riding and what got you interested in riding?
I have been riding since I was about four. My mum rode, and it was she who first exposed me to the sport. My enthusiasm for pony rides as a toddler soon grew into a love of horseback riding and everything it entailed: training, competitions, and simply spending time with horses.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I am allergic to horses.
What activities are you involved in outside of Equestrian?
I am involved in Dartmouth Humanitarian Engineering and the First Year Peer Mentoring program.
What are your future plans?
In terms of academics, I plan to be an Economics major modified with Geography.
