Men's Heavyweight Rowing
at Head of the Charles

Why Dartmouth?
I chose Dartmouth for two reasons, the academics and the College's close
proximity to so many outdoor activities such as skiing, hiking and especially
rowing. The Connecticut is by far the best rowing locale in the US. And it's
about a 5 minute walk from the center of campus. In the fall the Connecticut
has the best scenery, in the winter we have the nicest erg room I have ever
seen, and in the spring we have miles and miles of perfect water to train on
for the sprint season.
How long have you been rowing and what got you interested in rowing?
I started rowing my Junior year at St. Paul's. I previously played lacrosse in
the spring, but once St. Paul's won Henley my sophomore year, I decided that
I should at least give rowing a try. And I've enjoyed it ever since.
Have you won and academic or rowing awards recently?
I won the Dartmouth Freshman Award in 2007, and the CRASH-D title in 2007 and 2008.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I watch way too much of Deal or No Deal.
What are your future plans, if any.
I would love to row in the Boat Race. If that fails, then probably a few years of work then back to grad school in whatever field I become interested in.
