Barret Folk went to high school at the Memphis University School. He was a member of the varsity wrestling team for 4 years, the track team for 3, and the football team for 2; senior year Barret was named captain for the track and wrestling team. At the State Champtionship his senior year, Barret took home first place in both the Pole Vault and the Decathalon. Barret also recieved many awards and honors throughout his high school years, including; sophomore and junior year he was All-Metro Team; junior year he was given the Robert Hussey Track Most Outstanding Award; and senior year Barret was a Track Athlete of the Year Finalist. Aside from athletics, Barret was a member of the National Honors Society, Boy Scouts, French Honors Society, Student Council and Bridge Builders. At Dartmouth Barret plans on studying English Literature.
Barret is the son of Humphrey and Jane Folk and he has three brothers. Estes, his brother, played football at Princeton.
