I came to Dartmouth because it offered an environment where I could find a good balance between the things I want to do socially and the things I want to do athletically. At Dartmouth I can work hard AND play hard.
How long have you been rowing and what got you interested in rowing? I've been rowing since I was a Junior in high school. I started rowing because my brothers both did it and I knew it would help me get into college.
Have you won any academic or rowing awards recently? In Steve's (head coach Steve Perry) office he has a wooden seat given to the oarsmen who demonstrates a willingness to lay it all on the line. I am one of only two rowers with my name on that seat.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates. I didn't learn how to ride a bike until I was 10 and by my freshman year I was named a Junior Elite Triathlete.
What are your future plans, if any? I look forward to one day looking for gainful employment, moving to Alston, Mass. and living in the delights of 27 Seattle St. with my fellow rowers.
