Major: History
Q and A with Nick
Why Dartmouth?
I chose Dartmouth because of its location set in the mountains on the Connecticut River and for the incredible opportunities that were made available by Dartmouth. Dartmouth has provided me with an outstanding education as well as given me the chance to compete at the highest level in collegiate rowing. Being a part of the Lightweight Crew has allowed me to develop lifelong friendships and provided discipline in my life involving complete teamwork that will carry on for years to come.
How long have you been rowing and what got you interested in rowing?
I started rowing 8 years ago. I originally got into rowing because I discovered my Grandfather rowed for the University of Washington Men's
Lightweight Crew and although I had no idea what to expect, I decided I'd give the sport a shot. Before rowing I was a swimmer for 8 years and a
football player for 6 years, but ever since the first stroke I took my freshmen year of high school I knew I had found my true passion in rowing
and continued to get better and enjoy it increasingly so everyday.

Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
Despite currently being a lightweight rower, I played offensive line my freshmen year of high school football. I am also an Eagle Scout.
What other activities do you participate in on campus?
I am a member of Chi Heorot Fraternity and I draw weekly comics for the Dartmouth Newspaper.
What are your future plans, if any.
No set plans yet, but looking to finish out senior year strong. After graduation, I'll most likely be looking to move from the granite of New Hampshire to the concrete of the big apple.
