Men's Lightweight Rowing
at Head of the Charles

Q&A with Peter Kim
Why Dartmouth:
Coming from a suburb of New York City, I fell in love with Dartmouth's beautiful green campus instantly. I matriculated for its undergraduate focus, small class sizes, and laid-back atmosphere.
How long have you been rowing and what got you interested in rowing?
I never rowed before coming to Dartmouth. At the beginning of the school year, I wanted to explore several activities to pursue in my free time. For me, rowing is a sport that is constantly challenging physically and mentally.
How you won any academic or rowing awards recently?
In high school, I won a Scholastic Gold Key for an essay in the Humor category, as well as league and county championships in debate.
Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.
I was born with Oral Allergy Syndrome, which means that I am mildly allergic to raw fruits, vegetables, and nuts. Since coming to Dartmouth, I have become lactose intolerant, as well. I'm not sure how I survive, either.
What are your future plans, if any.
I have not yet declared a major, but I am currently interested in going into Business or Law. I will also follow in my father's footsteps and support charitable causes in my community.
