Q&A with Teata Nanpooya
Why Dartmouth?
I wanted to be at a college that focused on the undergrads, challenge myself with the academic rigour, and I liked the atmosphere of Dartmouth when I came to visit during Dimensions.
How long have you been rowing and what interested you about rowing?
This year is my first year rowing. My favourite thing about rowing is the mental challenge of rowing. Rowing is a sport that is just as individual as team dependent and I like consistently improving myself.
What is something about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates?
When I was in elementary school, I had a crew cut because I would not let anyone touch my hair and it was simpler to manage. I was constantly mistaken for a boy.
What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus?
I am a part of the Global Village, NAD, and Ultimate Frisbee.
What are your future plans, if any?
To travel everywhere and do what makes me happy.
